Nikolaus Graf composed the film score for the BR comedy series Das Institut, Oase des Scheiterns. The series follows a group of people working at an unusual institute as they try to solve their personal and professional problems. Graf created a distinctive soundtrack that perfectly complements the quirky atmosphere of the series. The music blends comedy and melancholy, highlighting the absurd moments throughout the show. The film score is a crucial element of the series, significantly contributing to its unique atmosphere. Graf’s talent as a composer is evident in how he perfectly aligns his music with the visual material, supporting the story and the characters of the series.

Ihre Liebe gilt dem Zusammentreffen von Kunst und Film. Mit „Couz“ zeichnen die Münchner Regiestudenten Rabelle Ramez und Camille Tricaud das Porträt einer Gruppe Jugendlicher in Marseille nach, die Tag und Nacht miteinander verbringt. Denn es ist Sommer. Die Schule ist vorbei. Und die Zeit erstreckt sich wie eine Ewigkeit. Gespräche verwandeln sich in Alltagspoesie. Alltagspoesie verwandelt sich in Rap. Ein Film über Freundschaft und Sprache. Ein Porträt einer Zeit. Die Zeit des Sommers. Von allen Verpflichtungen befreit, für alle Zufälle bereit. „Manchmal frage ich mich, ob das alles was bringt. Und ich denke: ja. Du kannst nicht sagen, du hast deine Jugend erlebt, wenn du nicht auf der Straße abhängst und nicht immer die gleichen Bänke stundenlang polierst. In solchen Momenten und Orten siehst du alles.“
Für den Film wurden hier vor dem Dreh Musikstücke von Nikolaus Graf komponiert, welche die Jugendlichen während des Drehs von ihren Smartphones über eine Bluetooth-Box abspielten. Darüber wurden dann die eigenen Texte gerappt.
